Customize Terms in Progress Notes

Instead of the default "therapist" and "client", users can now set their own terms to be used in their generated progress notes.

We've received feedback from a few folks that they don't like using "therapist" to reference themselves and/or "client" to reference their, well, client. And so now you have the option to not use those terms and to instead use literally any term you'd like!

Here's what you do:

  1. Hop over to "My Account".
  2. Change the term used for the therapist by updating "therapist term".
  3. Change the term used for the client by updating "client term".
  4. Leave one or both blank to use the default "therapist"/"client".
  5. Click "Update Term Overrides".
  6. Next time you generate a note, these new terms will be used!

So whether you refer to yourself as therapist, doctor, counselor, etc. or you refer to your client as patient, youth, etc., you should be all set! For example, instead of this:

Client discussed past struggles with his father, including arguments and physical altercations.

You could choose to use the term "patient", and you'd start seeing this instead:

Patient discussed past struggles with his father, including arguments and physical altercations.

Hopefully this is helpful and makes your progress note writing even more efficient. We know that some of you have been doing some find-and-replaces, so this should cut down on that!
