BAAs with Quill

Signing a BAA with Quill for HIPAA compliance has never been easier.

From launch, Quill has always been HIPAA compliant. We take the privacy of your relationship with clients very seriously. (So much so that we do not store any of your data and we refuse to support recording an entire therapy session!)

You used to have to email us for a BAA, but we have now streamlined the process! Now you can get a signed BAA with Quill by clicking a button and filling out a few details. Visit our BAA page to begin that process! (Note that you should be logged in first!)

What's a BAA?

A Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is a document required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) that outlines the responsibilities and obligations of a business associate in handling protected health information (PHI) on behalf of a covered entity, such as healthcare providers or clinics (or you, a therapist). The BAA ensures that the business associate agrees to comply with HIPAA’s stringent privacy and security regulations, safeguarding sensitive patient data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. By establishing a BAA, both parties commit to maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of PHI, thereby ensuring compliance with federal law and protecting the privacy rights of individuals.
