We've heard from a few users over the last week that it would be great to be able to:
- Change the note format as they are generating a note (since they use different note formats depending on the situation -- the client, the insurance, etc.)
- Change some other configuration after generating a note (like seeing what a note looks like in one format vs. another, or changing an option and seeing how that impacts the resulting note)
And so we tackled that today and it's now ready for you to use!
When you generate a note, you'll now see a "Note Preferences" box. This outlines your current note configuration. Hopefully this also helps surface the different customization options that previously were only available on the "My Account" page.
If you click "Edit Preferences", you'll be able to adjust your preferences and then hit "Save Note Preferences". Those changes will be saved to your account immediately.
If you're in the middle of a note, that's fine -- when you hit "Generate Note", those preferences will be applied! And if you're looking to make adjustments and regenerate a note, that's fine too -- when you hit "Regenerate Note", those preferences will also be applied.
Right now, you can manage the following customizations for therapy notes:
- Note Format: The format of your progress note, like DAP, SOAP, etc.
- Note Length: Whether you want your note to be roughly the same level of detail as the summary you provided, or if you want Quill to scale it back a bit.
- Therapist Term: Which term you'd like to use in place of "therapist" in your note, which is Quill's default.
- Client Term: Which term you'd like to use in place of "client" in your note, which is Quill's default.
We plan on adding other customization options in the future, so this is only just the beginning.
Enjoy! And as always, we only got jazzed about implementing this feature because we received requests to add it! So keep those suggestions coming!
