Workplace Conflict

During the 50-minute session, the client discussed an ongoing conflict with a coworker, describing feelings of being constantly undermined and disrespected. Client expressed significant frustration and anger, stating, "I can’t stand the thought of going to work and dealing with this every day." The therapist and client worked on strategies for assertive communication and conflict resolution to address the client's goal of confronting the coworker with "I" statements. The client was assigned homework to prepare for this conversation by writing down his thoughts. Although the client appeared anxious, he was willing to try the proposed approach. A follow-up session is scheduled for next week to discuss progress and next steps.
